Design:

While the iPhone 4 could only record HD video at 720p, the camera on iPhone 4S is capable of recording full HD video at 1080p with auto image stabilization. The camera module on iPhone 4S has an extra lens which greatly increases the level of detail in pictures.
Connectivity:
There is also a significant difference between iPhone 4 and 4S when it comes to connectivity. The iPhone 4 was a quad-band smartphone separately compatible with GSM and CDMA networks. The iPhone 4S on the other hand is a dual-mode GSM and CDMA smartphone meaning that the user can switch between both types of networks without having to carry separate iPhones for these two network types.
Storage:
The iPhone 4 can be bought in 8, 16 or 32GB variants while storage options have gone up with the iPhone 4S. The 4S comes in 16, 32 or 64GB variants in either black or white colors. These three models can either be purchased on contract or officially unlocked.
Siri Voice Assistant:
This is probably the defining feature of iPhone 4S. Siri voice assistant is artificial intelligence at its best and is only exclusive to iPhone 4S, for now. Siri is your digitial personal assistant that lives inside your iPhone 4S and will do all of your tasks for you, after you ask it nicely that is. Siri is one major difference between iPhone 4 and 4S because it wasn't released on iPhone 4 and Apple will not officially release Siri for iPhone 4, ever.
